The Voyah Dreamer, first unveiled at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show last November, is now available for sale in China labeled as the world’s fastest minivan. The Dreamer combines premium features with excellent practicality and great performance for the segment. As you can see below, it is not only an interesting vehicle, but it is also one of the most comfortable cars of the moment, and that will surely be taken into account by the most demanding executive transfer companies in the world.
The mechanical capabilities of the car
Dongfeng’s premium brand announced the detailed specifications of the Dreamer, which comes in both all-electric and extended-range hybrid form. The EV has dual electric motors that produce a combined torque of 429 horsepower (320 kW/435 PS) and 620 Nm of torque (457 lb-ft). It accelerates from 0 to one hundred kilometers per hour in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed limited to 200 kilometers per hour or about 124 mph. While those specs are very impressive for a family truck, they’re not as impressive as the Voyah Free SUV that produces 684 horsepower (510 kW/693 PS) and 1,040 Nm of torque (767 lb-ft) and is based on the same platform.

Still, with a power of 429 hp, the EV variant of the Voyah Dreamer is currently the most powerful minivan money can buy. As for the range extension option with the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine and two electric motors, it produces 389 horsepower (290 kW/394 PS) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (0-62 mph) in 6.9 seconds. In terms of electric range, the 2625 kg (5787 pound) EV can travel up to 373 miles or an impressive 600 kilometers of travel between charges, while the 2540 kg (5600 pounds) range extender takes it up to 435 miles or about 700 kilometers of travel.
What can be seen from the outside
The design of the minivan is characterized by the massive grille that covers most of the front, a large dose of chrome details around the body, full LED lighting units and little ground clearance. From the front you can see an elegant minivan, although it does not leave aside a certain appearance or aggressive fascia. Its large grille stands out, and it also serves as an air intake to keep the engine temperature cool. On the sides of the bumper we have two air intakes, and another in the lower area.
On the sides some wheels or wheels of alloy of silver color, locks of the doors of the same color of the body. The back door is sliding.
The rear has brake or stop lights with advanced LED technology, decorative spoiler at the top of the glass with a third LED stop, lights embedded in the bumper among other details.
The measurements of the minivan
Measuring 5315 mm (209.3 inches) long, 1985 mm (78.1 inches) wide and 1820 mm (71.7 inches) high, with a wheelbase of 3200 mm (126 inches), the Voyah Dreamer is larger than the Lexus LM and Buick GL8 Avenir, ICE-powered rivals in the premium minivan segment.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the minivan comes in four- or seven-seater configurations. The latter has a 2+2+3 design, meaning the front two rows enjoy captain’s chairs while the cargo space is still quite adequate at 427 lt (15 cubic feet). The equipment is generous with three screens on the dashboard, heated and ventilated seats with massage function, reclining footrests, vegan leather upholstery, electric sliding doors, DYN Audio sound system, Level 2+ autonomous driving capability, 5G connectivity and adaptive air suspension. The first deliveries of the minivan are scheduled for July 2022.
