After its presentation as a Eureka 03 concept in 2020 and as a pre-production model in 2021, we finally get the definitive model of the Chinese electric sedan that has now been renamed as Nezha S. This new car is emerging as a powerful competitor to the current Tesla Model 3, and its owner, Hozon Auto, already has a catalog composed of two SUVs and the new Nezha S it comes to complement its growing range. Its official presentation was scheduled for this Beijing Motor Show 2022, but because of the confinement due to the pandemic it had to be postponed, but its unveiling was made online.
With an attractive design
The new Nezha S measures 4,800 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,400 mm high, while the wheelbase covers 2,900 mm. In terms of design you get a front with LED lines next to split headlights underneath it. To this are added curved fenders, a sloping roofline that is completed with a spoiler integrated into the tailgate, LED taillights that cover the entire width of the vehicle and a discreet diffuser.
In the cabin its equipment is very complete, with heated seats, ventilated and with massage function and with leather and Alcantara upholstery. Technologically it has a large multimedia screen, another touch screen for the passenger and a group of small instruments. To this is added a sound system of 1,216 watts with 21 speakers, while at the level of assistance and security offers a Level 4 autonomy thanks to the fact that it has two LiDAR, five millimeter wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 13 cameras.
The motorization has not been fully revealed, it is only known that it rests on the modular platform ‘Shanhai’, which allows electric and range extension versions. According to this data, a range of the sedan of up to 710 km is expected for the electric model and up to 1,100 km for the variant with range extender. The date of arrival at the dealers is not yet available, nor its price or if it will reach other markets in the world outside of China.
