All elements that are part of the same vehicle are essential as long as they are well thought out and enhance the purpose of the users and the model in question. There are many brands that have taken a step forward and have had the same components that will make it the reference. This is the case of Renault, which remains true to its sporting spirit, and have equipped the new Renault Megane E-Tech Electric with Goodyear series tires, entering within the original equipment.
Regarding the chosen models, they have highlighted the new Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is the summer tire in size 195/60R18, and the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance has been chosen for the largest version of 215/45R20 thanks to its very low rolling resistance of 5.7 kg / t and the precision of the steering. It should be noted that all models have been factory developed and equipped.
The new Renault Megane E-tech electric is a model that comes equipped with an electric motor, which has been developed together with Renault ? Mitsubishi and Nissan with a weight of 145 kg and that produces between 96 and 160 kw, depending on whether it has one specification or another. The car’s battery is the thinnest on the market, at only 110 mm, allowing it to perfectly fit the CMF-EV’s platform, reducing the overall height of the vehicle. It is available in two capacities: 40 kWh for a range of up to 300 km (WLTP) or 60 kWh for a range of 470 km.
The “R” mark on the flank of the four Goodyear tires for the Mégane E-TECH Electric indicates that the tires have been specifically chosen and approved by Renault. The tires also carry Goodyear’s Electric Drive Technology (EDT) brand.
Goodyear has indicated that: “Tyres are the ones chosen for a large number of electric vehicles. In 2021, more than 80% of our original equipment applications were for electric or hybrid vehicles. We will continue to work closely with leading manufacturers to help them develop the next generation of electric, ICE and hybrid vehicles” being one of the sure successes of the moment.
