It is one of the great moments of the automotive industry nationally and internationally. More and more vehicles are registered and launched on the market in order to revolutionize a society in need of new models. Under this premise, firms such as Toyota have taken the opportunity to gain ground on the competition and have done so by presenting their new range of Toyota GR Supra with manual transmission.
After much asking and requesting it, toyota has listened to the requests of demanding users, and has listened to them. With the new GR Supra M/T, its historic legendary supercar has been equipped with an intelligent six-speed manual transmission. This will help users take control at all times and enjoy the manual sensations of gear changes. Toyota engineers have designed a new transmission, along with a new clutch, specifically tailored to the power and torque characteristics of the GR Supra’s 3.0-liter, 250 kW/340 hp engine.
In this new version we find a weight reduction of almost 40kg, something that allows you to improve your agility and response to the wheel. The iMT transmission employs an intelligent control system programmed with new software that prioritizes sporty behavior. When the gear is raised, the parameters have been adjusted to optimize the torque at the time of clutch and disengagement.
How is the new configuration
The new GR Supra M/T comes with a dual configuration. On the one hand, we have a 2.0-liter engine of 190kw and a power of 258 hp and on the other a 3.0-liter engine with 250kw and a power of 340hp. In the first case it is an eight-speed automatic configuration, while the manual transmission has six gears.
To all this, there will be a third variant, an edition special LIMITED EDITION with 3.0 engine of 250 kW / 340 hp and manual transmission, which is distinguished from the rest by its exclusive matt white exterior color and its camel leather interior. The starting price will be 59,500 euros.
