At a time when any type of business collaboration between several companies ends up being confirmed as the great revolution for its new products, it is not surprising that those most mythical moments of our childhood or adolescence are present. Mini has known this from the beginning and now that it is a mobility partner of gamescom, they have had that in mind from the beginning. So much so, that they have launched the new Mini Concept Aceman with Pokemon Mode.
MINI will be the title sponsor of this year’s gamescom in Cologne. The firm will be the first sponsor that does not belong to the world of video games in one of the largest events in the world and does so by offering the best version, entering Paleta village and sailing in the Pokemon universe.
Stefanie Wurst, Director of MINI, commented that: “An important feature of MINI is the positive and future-oriented approach to individual mobility, as well as the distinctive design of the vehicles. Gamification will play an increasingly important role in the MINI of the future and will offer a unique experience to our customers. In collaboration with Pokémon, the shared joy of the franchise unites two iconic characters, who fit perfectly, with millions of fans.”
Regarding the new Mini Concept Aceman, we find an infinity of challenges, offering players unknown worlds. During gamescom, Pikachu, the iconic Pokémon character, takes over the OLED display as a new central instrument when the Experience Mode lever is actuated.
In the animated loop, the Poké Ball appears first on the OLED screen and moves, then open in a blue glow that moves impressively from the OLED screen through the dashboard and the door light bar, as well as the projection of the skirt inside the vehicle.
The design team behind the MINI Concept Aceman as well has created an exclusive MINI Art Toy to coincide with gamescom 2022. Like the concept car, the MINI Art Toy embodies agility and confident presence. The X-O symbols, for example, recall the interior design and playful character of the MINI Concept Aceman and fit perfectly into gamescom and the huge number of games involved.
