It will always be remembered as one of the most glamorous and amazing cars on the market. If you do something big, you have to empower it in all aspects. Taking advantage of the fact that the Parade for the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was recently held, in Jaguar they went a step further and have presented a reinterpreted and renewed model, as is the case of the JWater E-Type Roadster Series 1 of 1965. This is one of jaguar Classic’s big bets to give its brand greater prestige altogether.
At first glance we find some technical changes by the hand of Classic Works and they offer us a metallic blue exterior paint that has been inspired by the British flag. In this case, we find one of the most exclusive and concrete designs and is that the client wanted a model of the year that he was born and a series of personalized finishes. The Jaguar Classic team got down to work and located an E-Type Series 1 that had been manufactured just two days before the customer’s date of birth.
The next two months the car was completely transformed, and the body and its paint has not been so easy to achieve, being closed in the workshop for months. Custom interior design stands out for the striking leather upholstery in a shade of red which evokes the colour of the iconic British mailboxes.
Regarding motorization, we find a 4.7-liter engine that offers greater performance, optimizing driving and which is combined with a five-speed gearbox. In this way, we find a model that offers mere driving sensations, being more refined, smooth and silent.
With the best instrumentation
The suspension has been improved to ensure that the chassis takes advantage of the performance offered by the engine. To all this, we find a classic infotainment system, using touchscreen controls, satellite navigation and Bluetooth on a device that looks vintage. The vehicle is completed with a number of unique custom details, such as the dashboard plate and license plate. In addition, this exclusive blue E-Type incorporates elements inspired by the limited E-Type 60 collection.
