The first generation of this model was marketed between 2006 and 2014 and achieved sales slightly above 300,000 units in Europe. The second generation was launched in 2014 and began as the SX4 S-Cross, to be renamed S-Cross after the deep update it received in 2017. The SX4 S-Cross and S-Cross exceeded 300,000 units.
