DEUS finally revealed its next electric hypercar, the Vayanne, at the New York International Auto Show today. The product of a collaboration between the Austrian company, Williams Advanced Engineering and Italdesign, the hypercar should be powerful enough and exclusive for any enthusiast. It is a car with an interesting style, updated in its entirety, which comes to try to compete with the best in its class.
A really fast bolide
The automaker predicts that Vayanne will generate more than 2200 horsepower (1640 kW/2230 PS) thanks to a vehicle platform created by Williams Advanced Engineering, which should allow it to accomplish some pretty impressive feats. DEUS wants the car to be able to reach 100 kilometers per hour from zero (62 mph) in just 1.99 seconds and then continue accelerating to a top speed of more than 400 kilometers per hour or about 248 mph.
A practical design from every point of view
Despite those monumental performance figures, it has also been designed with practicality in mind. DEUS says it will have 4.7 inches (12 cm) of ground clearance to overcome any potholes and will have ample storage space. In fact, practicality was as important as performance in creating this vehicle. That same measured approach was taken for the exterior design, which was achieved with the help of Italdesign.
At DEUS, design isn’t just about appearance, it’s an integrated concept that reflects the brand’s core credo, i.e. effortlessly combining exquisite design and functionality with cutting-edge technology in the EV hypercar segment. To show this harmony, the car’s designers and manufacturers chose to stylize the Vayanne around the idea of symmetry and geometric alignment of its lines and design features.
Part of its external appearance
The automaker says the front and rear grilles were designed to resemble the infinite loop, while the geometric shapes on the rest of the vehicle speak to the vehicle’s geometric accuracy.
From the front you can see a really dynamic car, updated to futuristic vehicles. The bonnet is wide, with a central opening, and with lines thrown totally forward contributing with all its advanced aerodynamics. The manufacturer’s slogan is located right in the center. On the sides we have the optics or lights of the car that have advanced LED technology. The bottom of the bumper comes with an air intake that spans the car from end to end.
On the sides of the vehicle we have black and spiral-shaped alloy wheels that in turn hide an efficient brake system in which the red calipers and the powerful discs on all its wheels come to light. The lower part of the doors and the rear have air intakes. The door locks are the same body color, as are the mirror housings that feature LED or dipped lights.
The rear comes with those LED brake lights that span the entire car, which stand out above that oversized central grille.
Inside the cabin
Meanwhile, inside, DEUS has not opted for a vegan interior, but has chosen leather produced in the most sustainable way it can find due to what it calls a commitment to zero waste for a circular economy model. Meanwhile, an all-digital instrument cluster and control screen mark it as a completely modern vehicle and finishing parts that seem to sink into infinity help define the car’s interior.
The first deliveries of the DEUS Vayanne are expected to start in 2025, but you may want to receive your order sooner because the company plans to build only 99 of these all-electric hypercars.
