Little by little it is confirmed that there are models that are destined to make history thanks to their design and functionality. Brands know this and surprise with unique designs that make users focus on them for their performance. In Citroen they know what they are doing and it is not for less. Within the framework of the ALD Ecomotion Tour, the French firm has been awarded the new Citroen C5 Plug-in Hybrid, a model that surprises with its efficiency and an ecological driving style, thus enhancing the use of those electrified vehicles that are usually needed at the moment.

For more than 300 kilometers between Leganés, Madrid and Olmedo, combining urban, conventional and motorway areas, the Citroën C5 X Plug-In Hybrid, driven by the team formed by Juan Antonio Alonso and Juan Miguel Quintana, won the victory as the most efficient plug-in hybrid tourism.

As for the PHEV version, it consists of a PureTech 180 gasoline engine that has renewable and sustainable energy. This comes through a chain of electric traction of about 81kW and a lithium-ion battery of 12.4 kWh. In this way, we find a total final power of 225CV. The New C5 X Plug-In Hybrid is equipped as standard with Citroën Advanced Comfort Active Suspension. Thanks to sensors that analyze the road and a control unit that determines the regulation, more or less firm, of the shock absorber of each wheel, the New C5 X offers maximum comfort to its users in any circumstance, filtering obstacles, potholes, irregularities, speed bumps and any other element present on the road.

This version offers 3 associated active suspension programs to the possibility of being able to choose between four driving modes: Hybrid, which optimizes the use of two engines with the suspension in normal mode, Comfort, which does the same with the suspension in comfort mode, the Electric mode, with the suspension in normal program and zero emissions.
