There are models that are destined to make history and where their benefits make them the main reference in the sector. There is no doubt that many brands have been working in a swampy terrain where the technology of the moment has taken a step forward and they have presented us with a groundbreaking vehicle. This is the case of Aston Martin, which has been working for a long time and has now launched the project of a single prototype descapotable of great performance.
2022 has been a year in which Aston Martin has not stopped working and now the British firm has taken a step forward and have announced that with the arrival of Monterey Car Week they will give the first starting guns of the Aston Martin DBR22, a model that is firm to the essence and spirit of the British brand, adapting it to the competition and the street with really surprising performance.
Clearly inspired by the Aston Martin DBR1 that won the 24th le Mans in 1959, it features a speedster chassis and body with elegant and fluid shapes incorporating the modern elements of the moment. A particularly notable feature is the all-new front grille. which incorporates a unique carbon fibre design instead of the usual veins seen in Aston Martin series production. This design is directly inspired by DBR1 and DB3S, giving it a unique identity; one that clearly builds on Aston Martin’s heritage but uses this inspiration to create truly contemporary design.
With a 5.2-liter V12 Twin Turbo engine, it is powered for the fluidity of the air and thus cools it completely. It is a model that allows to achieve a maximum power of 715 hp of power and 753 Nm of maximum torque thanks to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All this allows us to have a convertible that in 3.4 seconds reaches 100km / h and is complemented by a maximum speed of 319 km / h. There is no doubt that users will enjoy a unique experience in which they will never forget.
