The impossible has happened and that is that the hyperconnection we have today has caused that in a climate like the current one of confrontation there is a new war that we are not controlling. The war in Ukraine has led to the use of sophisticated methods of attack that can generate chaos in large cities. This is what happened in Moscow, where a team from Anonymous Ukraine carried out one of the largest attacks that collapsed the center of the Russian capital for hours.
During the last hours, a group of computer hackers took control of the company Yandex Taxi and through the use of their application sent all the fleets to a central hotel, the Hotel Ukraine. This situation made one of the main avenues of Moscow, as is the case of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, stand and be blocked for hours, where the high volume of taxis made the situation untenable.
In the attack of these online specialists, they managed to break the security of an application that was in one of its lowest hours. Faced with that fact, all the drivers received the same message, which was evidently a false request, where they asked for a service from a certain address.
The action was shared on the Account of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Telegram, where they mentioned the operation as ‘OpRussia’. Yandex has reported that the chaos stemmed from a massive attack: “On the morning of September 1, Yandex Taxi encountered an attempt by the attackers to disrupt the service: several dozen drivers received massive orders in Moscow’s Fili district.” It should be noted that the company is owned by the most important IT in Russia.
Other attacks behind Anonymous
This is not the only attack that the group of hackers has made and is that in recent months it has not stopped working on it. In this way, too. removed some Russian government websites, own of the kremlin or the ministry of defense, filtering different privacy data.
