There are many brands that have taken a step forward thanks to a type of electric models that have established themselves as the clear reference in the automotive sector, placing themselves at the head of the vanguard and innovation. This is the case of the French firm Alpine, which taking advantage of the dispute of the French Grand Prix have exclusively presented the new Alpine A110 E-Ternité, a groundbreaking prototype that is destined to make history.
Renault Group is a pioneer in the field and has gained complete and valuable experience in all fields of the automobile. Therefore, in Alpine they could not be less and thanks to the presence of Luca de Meo, have started working on a surprising line where the A110 model it has been set as the best example to promote research, maintaining prestige and facing an increasingly ambitious future.
To make the new A110 a model where they have incorporated the most electrification and digitalization, in Alpine have introduced a novel multimedia system that uses the driver’s personal tablet, offering an intuitive and natural experience on Google or Android, which is complemented by a state-of-the-art audio system thanks to eight speakers.
At Renault they have become the best test bed and technologies, where they have been working on the new battery modules that are identical to those of the Megane E-Tech 100% electric. But in order to obtain an optimal distribution of the masses and house the twelve battery modules, it was necessary to design specific battery housings for the A110. With a light weight, we find an Alpine A110 E-Ternité that adapts to any situation.
To optimise both the 0 to 100 km/h and the top speed, a new gearbox has been added to the Group’s “standard” engine. A convertible A110 had long been claimed. Thus, Alpine decided to simultaneously face one more challenge. The difficulty was above all to find the solution to quickly integrate a “semi-convertible” possibility into the alpine A110 structure.
