Abarth is showing signs of life as Fiat unveiled the new Pulse Abarth in Brazil. Apparently it is a very advanced sports car that looks attractive and updated to new trends, and that represents very good news not only for the country of Rio de Janeiro, but for South America in general.
It is a new model
Scheduled to go on sale later this year, the performance crossover builds on the value-focused Pulse and marks Abarth’s return to Brazil. Unveiled at Big Brother Brazil, the Pulse Abarth features an aggressive front fascia with a unique mesh grille and vertical air curtains. They’re joined by a sportier front bumper that features a red accent and unique fog lights.

From the front we can see a short and wide hood, with descending lines that match both the car’s optics and the grille. The optics contain LED daytime running lights, which are inside a glass layer and in turn are accompanied by powerful night lights. The car’s grill comes in black and in the form of a grille, with the manufacturer’s slogan right in the center. The bumper has two air intakes on the sides to keep the engine in optimal temperature conditions. The lower part of the car shows a third air intake, and the embedded lights, presumably fog lights, and the red stripe are very striking.
On the sides of the car we have graphics on the body sides and Abarth badging on the front fenders. The crossover has also been outfitted with gloss black wheels that feature red accents, as well as a Scorpion center cap. The lower part of the doors show red labels or badges, and the door locks come in the same color as the bodywork. The mirror caps come in red. Both the roof and the window surrounds come in black.
Completing the highlights is a unique rear bumper with faux diffuser. The model also sports prominent Abarth lettering and a dual exhaust system. The roof also features an antenna in the shape of a shark fin, a decorative spoiler that in turn hides a third stop or brake light, a windshield wiper, lights embedded in the bumper, the manufacturer’s name right in the center of the tailgate to the trunk in other aspects.
Fiat was coy on the specs but said the model will combine performance with provocative steering, as well as technology and innovation. The company added that the model was developed in Brazil and will be built in the country.
Additional details will be released in the coming months, but the standard Pulse features a 1.3-liter Firefly Flex engine that produces 106 horsepower (79 kW / 107 PS) and 99 lb-ft (134 Nm) of torque when running. with ethanol. It allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to one hundred kilometers per hour in 9.4 seconds and this allows it to beat the “main rivals in the category”.
